Lavender Essential Oilhas been shown to promote a calming and relaxing quality. Research has shown lavender essential oil to have anti-microbial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Studies have shown positive effect on atopic dermatitis. It has been shown to be calming to the skin and reduce irritation and prevent bacteria from growing on the skin.

Blue Chamomile Oil Essential Oil – has a high content of azulene, the active organic compound of chamomile, which bears a blue color. Azulene has anti-inflammatory action and is a common plant used for calming the skin and has been shown to have healing properties. By helping to balance healthy inflammatory response along with its ability to nourish and restore healthy sebum (naturally occurring skin oil) which have made it effective support for skin health and beauty.

Carrot Seed – has been shown to be an effective ingredient to any healthy skin treatment regimen. It supports cell regeneration at the skin’s deepest level and has been shown to be a first line defense for supporting aging and environmentally stressed skin due to its hydrating and moisturizing properties. It has been shown to be an essential component of many skin care formulations.

Calendula Oil – has been shown to contribute to the healing process of skin and has been used for application on wounds and cuts and has been shown to exhibit wound healing properties. Incorporating this oil into the formulation of a facial serum, intended to promote a toning, balancing, anti-inflammatory and healing effect on the skin.

Marshmallow Root Extract – is known as a demulcent which promotes a soothing effect for skin. It is Mucilaginous and contains arabinogalactans and galacturonorhamnan, the amino acid asparagines, antioxidant flavonoids 8-hydroxyluteolin and 8-b-gentiobioside, coumarins, fats, kaempferol, phenolic acids, quercetin which have been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and antioxidant effects on skin.

NOURISH: NUTIRTIONAL OILS

Rose Hip Oil – high in Vitamin C and lycopene, these antioxidants can help reduce free radical damage that damage skin cells and can have an anti-inflammatory effect on skin. Rose hip is known as a gentle and potent moisturizer for dry skin. It also contains fatty acids that feeds the skin and can contribute to protecting skin from sun and pollution stressors. This Oil has been shown to help repair the skin’s surface.

Avocado Oil – rich in Vitamin A B, C, K, lecithin and potassium and E can promote natural collagen production. It’s fatty and essential fatty acid concentration in avocado oil have been shown to nourish and moisten dry, dehydrated mature skin. Also high is plant sterols which have been shown to moisturize and soften skin. Sterols can also have rejuvenating and haling properties which could reduce signs of aging and treat sun damaged skin, along with potentially lightening the areas of hyperpigmentation.

Jojoba Oil – The National Research Council notes that acne treatments containing jojoba oil may slow the outbreak of skin breakouts arise from acne. Jojoba closely resembles sebum, the skin’s natural oil. Jojoba dissolves the sebum that clog pores and moisturize the skin and naturally and could have the effect of naturally creating a barrier of protection from the outside world.
